March flew by!

Ok, it’s been a minute since I posted, but for two very good reasons.

First, MySonTheMarine is home!!! For good!! His five years are up and he’s ready to move on to the next phase of his life, so he’s back home!!!!

That took up a fair amount of brain space, but then, so did the second reason, which was me sewing madly to prepare for a two day local fair. It was sponsored by the Student Council of a local high school and it was the first one they’ve ever done. I think they did a very good job, were very organized, and it was a solid turnout for year 1.

These totes were the star of the show and I was pleased with how they were received. The scarves didn’t move, but it’s the end of March and no one is thinking about wearing scarves right now — they were more about bringing people in and getting them chatting.

I also garnered a couple of commissions to make some smaller bags out of similar fabric combinations, so that’s a nice extra!

Now that this fair is over, I have a solid amount of inventory and I’m no longer in panic mode. Still sewing, but not so frantic.

And I’ll try to get back to posting more frequently.
